[![Request A Service Or Repair](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/4312205/3068cddd-a0e8-4797-a1e5-83ddc08a28e2.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/4312205/3068cddd-a0e8-4797-a1e5-83ddc08a28e2) So, when it comes to maintaining your specialist equipment, why go professional? Some of the most common requests we receive are for package units. These are the next step up for clients looking for a tailored air conditioning solution that fits their often non-standard requirements. More powerful than a conventional air conditioner, package units offer a neat all-inclusive heating and cooling solution. These are fully self-contained and conventionally installed on the roof or to the side of the premises. They conventionally work in increments of up to five tonnes, with central air units required when the load exceeds 20 tonnes or more. This makes them perfect for use in businesses or buildings that don’t quite match the needs of conventional air conditioners such as commercial stores, dining establishments, larger homes and more. While the package unit provides a neat solution to most customer’s needs, as with any long-term high-use piece of equipment, deploying specialist maintenance and servicing is absolutely critical, for the following reasons: ## 1. They Are ‘Specialised’ For A Reason: As a rule, the installation and setup of a package unit requires a professional to install and set up the unit. Depending on where this is set up it can be extremely hard or even dangerous to clean or maintain without professional training. [Going professional means that you can be assured your unit undergoes preventative maintenance](https://blog.passwordservices.co.uk/commercial-air-conditioning-maintenance-repairs) in a timely manner to catch issues before they occur. ## 2. No Business Is Truly Alike: Depending on the building or business the unit is attached to, it will undergo stress and strain that is specific to them. Understanding the nature of the business and elements to look for is vital. For instance, this might involve checking filtration systems in detritus-heavy environments or managing humidity build-up in spas or fitness centres. Being able to understand your business and mitigate for specific risks lets you benefit from professional knowledge that would be otherwise unavailable to you – and even make changes to your daily practice to help reduce wear and tear or get the most from your unit. ## 3. Expertise Simply Gives You More: Regular, timely maintenance empowers you to get the most out of your unit. Failing to maintain filters, coils, or fans can quickly result in drop-offs for efficiency and increased bills with little to show for it. While a specialised service may seem like an outlay, even a simple yearly check provides benefits that we believe always speak for themselves.
